Gibbs-White Penalty Completes Forest Comeback as West Ham Slide Deeper

Nottingham Forest boosted their survival hopes with a late comeback win over West Ham United. West Ham led early through a Tomas Soucek effort but failed to build control. A disallowed goal for Crysencio Summerville proved pivotal moments after the restart. Forest responded immediately as Nicolás Domínguez headed an equaliser from a corner. West Ham’s defensive fragility resurfaced late when goalkeeper Alphonse Areola clumsily fouled Morgan Gibbs-White. After a VAR review, Gibbs-White converted the 89th-minute penalty to seal the win. The result left West Ham winless in 10 matches and seven points adrift of Forest. Pressure continues to mount on manager Nuno Espírito Santo amid growing fan frustration and relegation fears.
