Novo Nordisk has launched the first GLP-1 weight-loss pill in the US at prices well below injectable rivals.
The once-daily Wegovy pill, approved just before Christmas, is the only oral drug mimicking the GLP-1 hormone.
Self-pay patients can access the starting dose for $149 a month, far cheaper than typical injections.
Higher doses will range from $199 to $299 monthly, while insured patients may pay as little as $25.
